Situated on the platform Hunmanby Railway Station alongside the Old Station House on the frindge of the historic Wolds village of Hunmanby, near Filey, North Yorkshire, The Old Waiting Rooms has many original features and has been tastefully restored to provide unique holiday accommodation comfortably sleeping two people in a double bed for short breaks or full weeks. Open all year for full weeks or short breaks, one dog welcome, no smoking. The 18thcc building dates back to the opening of the railway line, and is built from Hunmanby bricks; the old clay pit is now a haven for freshwater anglers just two minutes walk away. Also close by are shops, pubs and restaurants and a nine hole pay and play golf course and gym.

The Old Waiting Rooms are just 1.5 miles from Yorkshire's Heritage Coast and only 30 minutes away from the North Yorkshire Moors, all these beautiful attractions can be easily accessed by car or public transport. Trains run regularly between the hours of 7.15am and 8.15pm from Hunmanby Station on the Scarborough to Hull Yorkshire Wolds Coast line and with trains direct from the Station to Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington, Beverley, Cottingham, Hull, Doncaster and Sheffield and with one change at Scarborough to Whitby and York, the Old Waiting Rooms offers the chance to explore North Yorkshire's Coast and Moors entirely by train.

Accommodation comprises;

Entrance porch opening from the Southbound Platform into the Old Ladies Waiting Room with original fireplace, stripped pine floor, panelling, doors and working window shutters. This room looks onto the platform and you will both see and hear the trains and crossing alarm up close! This room has sofa, table and chairs, TV/DVD with selection of DVD?s and fully equipped kitchenette comprising sink, double electric hotplate, full fridge with freezer compartment and microwave oven/grill. From this room a door leads to the Old Station Toilets, now a fully equipped modern bathroom with full suite in white and shower over the bath. A further door from the Ladies Waiting Room leads to the Main Waiting Room, now converted into a stunning bedroom and sitting area. This room has original panelling, ceiling moulding and original fireplace. It has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table and two comfortable leather armchairs. It has a large bay window looking out onto the platform.

The rooms are centrally heated with hot water via an immersion heater. A small library of books and DVD?s are provided and all bed linen, bedding and towels are included with the hire price.
